"Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working." -James 5:16
"True friendship isn't passive- it acts."
There is not a more authentic and loving friend in the entire world than a praying friend. An individual who cares for you so much that they take time out of their lives to ask God that He do His very best work in your life. An individual who is rooting for you, puts you before themselves, and is genuinely excited when you succeed. Praying for you even though it does not directly affect them because your best interest is their best interest.
We must understand that true friends are not envious of our accomplishments, but praise God for what He has done in us with the time He has given us. Friends want the best for us, hope the best for us, and consider our lives to be worthy of the calling that we are capable of fulfilling.
If we are called to pray for those who persecute us, how much more for those who support us? If we are called to love our enemies, how much more our allies?
Friends are not only tied together through the prayers they pray when they are apart, but are bonded by the supplications they make when they are together. As Matthew 18:20 says, "For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them." How powerful is a relationship fused together by God Himself? Our Creator in the middle of His creations? Now that is lovely, and it is accessible for all of us because of Jesus' sacrifice.
How can we be prayer warriors for our loved ones? And when those prayers are answered, imagine how much more praise will go to God because of it.
